Took my very first week of time off since i started for the trip to Lake Toba with family which was planned since few months back. It was a 4 days 3 night trip during the long weekend and merdeka day off. Departed on Sat evening and met up with my dad's friend at Medan. He brought us out for dinner at a chinese restaurant which served yummilicious food there. It was quite a popular restaurant as it was full house that night. We were served king fish which ppl say were good for health. Its dif from other fish as the scales can be eaten and that's where the good comes. We also had shark's fin, deer meet which we ordered 3 plates, veggies and noodles..Thanks Bapak Eriksson for the night

Next day, started the journey to Parapat, town before we cross over the lake to Samosir Island
The journey took us nearly 6 hours but it was enjoyable with the cool air and scenaries..We stopped by at Berstagi, the fruits town where we tour the market and bought fruits such as avocado, strawberries, small oranges, and mangosteens. It was pretty cheap.Had batak food for lunch and it was not bad though except the veggie looked like grass ...

Ahhhh.so warm and nice

These are like graveyards, where they keep the bodies/ashes in it. Its like everywhere and anywhere along the road and they way they build it looks unique and its something we can't find in M'sia. This is a big one where it house many of them, usually a family, or just empty holes booked for the rest of family members
Scenaries from the top. those things down there are where fishes are rared.
Wass up fren
A FISH???yep and can you see the little holes?its actually house ppl in it.
We arrived at the town nearly 4pm and was looking for the hotel which Bapak Erikson had booked for us.. Found it but they said no booking was made under his name...Crap..so went looking for another hotel... While we were playin at the beach, his colleague from the Telkomsel branch here came and told us it was booked under his name instead of Erikson...LOL.

Went for dinner at a Chinese Restaurant in the town. It was quite hard to look for such place as most of the shops sells batak food or malay food. The food was yummy..
Drunk??
Some batak instruments at the hotel
Next morning, took pictures around prior to departing to the jetty to Samosir Island. We had to go without the car first as the first transport ferry across was already full with lorries delivering foods to the ppl at Samosir from the govt and the next ferry is only 3 hours later. Not too waste anytime, we decided to head across with a normal ferry first.

Yo!! Sorry for the long hiatus. Had been busy and also....lazy to blog.hehehe.. Anyways, it's been 8 months since i started work.I still remember when i first started work fresh from college,i was like a dumb dumb..seriously, only noe BASIC function of Excel, and photocopy and fax machine were like aliens to me.. dunno how to operate it at all. Felt really stupid.

But as time goes by, i did learnt quite alot of stuffs, working on weekends and late nights, attended trainings which were fun and stress-less except for the fact that we had exams on the trainings. Even had the opportunity to catch a movie with the team in the midst of our engagement and bowling session later on.. Seniors and managers were nice and willing to teach and guide us and that was what i like about here. They dun just assign u something and nah, go do it..

Basically life has not been to bad for me and i just had one week time off this week..Whee

Why can't that staff at filing room in level 23A be more friendly like the other one or in level 23. WTH is his problem la. i was just requesting for the accounts for a particular co and he said u sure the name is like that. i'm pretty sure the co name is correct but i'm not too sure the accts are there or not.So i went enquire lo. If its not there he could just tell me its not there la,no need say so rudely that got no such co name and ask me go check with manager or so on the name. He's so unfriendly la. Before i even requested for anything, he's like so unpleasant edi. Like duwan layan like dat. Sharee would definately agree with me on this right??hehe

On a happier note, Sunway graduation was last weekend. Lazy to type long long le, so i''ll just post up pics.

Results was out last 2 weeks ago and was in office during that time. Well, din really felt anythin anymore as it was like kinda routine already as this happens every sem,so like dah biasa. Then, after lunch, a senior told me it was out already and asked me to check.I din want lu, cause if i really fail, it will spoil the rest of the day.So might as well work first. But then, when she walk pass, she'll ask me whether check edi or not and when i say not yet,she jokinly said she'll check for me.lol. After workin hours, Suanli told me she failed one paper, and so did some others. Then when she told me joshua and tiger fail tax,i got a bit worried edi. Deloitte tax challenge winner also fail leh..die lor. So mar when check lor, thank god i pass all. Wouldn't say the marks are good but as long as pass satisfied edi lar...whee...but kinda sad la cause some of them did not get thru.

On working life,so far so good.Did not have any late night working since the 2 am one. Work was light for the past 2 weeks but i think it'll be busy for the next 3 months. Currently doin O&G industry and did managed to learn a lot of new things as its very different from how normal co are. Its kinda complicated though, yet interesting.

an update finally, sorry cy, kinda tired and lazy to blog after start work edi.

Its been nearly a month since i started work. How was it? Like that lor.but its definately better than learning audit paper in ACCA. Audit is just too dry for me theoretically and i usually feel sleepy during that class de.hehehe.. At least i dun feel sleepy here. As for the seniors, they're nice although serious at times cuz of deadline mar.One senior even belanja me and a VT Starbucks. In actual case i owed the 2 seniors Starbucks as they help me on something. I dunno whether they're jokin or wat lor cuz they alwiz say like that de when they help me balance or do something. As a reward for them wo..

And I realise ever since i started work,i slept even earlier than usual.if got nothing to do, 10pm i will feel sleepy edi. dunno why lar, its not like really do a lot of tiring work during the day also. just keyin stuff, vouching and those usual audit work lor. the latest i stayed was until 2 am helping senior to finish up my file. She had to tidy up and do some parts.i felt so guilty lor make her stay so late to clear it but she said its not my fault as the manager should not have insisted on me handling one co by myself as i am just 2 weeks new.but i still feel bad lor.

2am is the record so far and i had to miss the farewell dinner for pei chin on that nite too..so sorry peichin, i'll make it up to u some other time when u come back.

as for CNY, went back to Muar for lunch and visit my grandad who looks much better than the last visit. He now have the strength to walk but not too long lu.At least he's doing well compared to last few months when he gave us a scare .Reunion Dinner was at my uncle'(dad's elder bro) place at Malacca.Only 2 families as most of my dad's sisters are in Europe and they dun come back so often de. Dinner was steamboat this round compared to last year.Wah, ate until so full as uncle kept asking us to eat more as he prepared quite alot and say we all so thin, should eat more..swt..

Did house visiting to relatives place on 1st and 2nd day. more eating and drinking..and angpows too.hehehe...and then back to work on 3rd day edi...ahaih. but i'm looking forward to tomoro as i'll be havin gathering and house visits with my college mates.wheeeeeeeeee.have not seen some of them ever since i started work edi, gotta catch up with them lu..

the trip was basically to do some shopping and eat yummilicious food there..mmmm.

dad was suppose to plan a trip for his friends to there and be sort of a guide there since he noes thai language.so he asked us whether we wanna tag along..of course..who would not wan to go for a holiday wo..hehehe. we left on monday morning around 9 with 2 other family joining us along..another could only join us on the 24th. had lunch at Nibung Tebal and arrived in thailand evening. Rested and then went for seafood dinner.

scenary along the way

The next day, after having our breakfast, we headed to Koh Samui, an island which takes us about 4-5 hours of travelling time. It pretty popular with the angmohs who can spent weeks and months in such places..We were travelling like convoys with 3 M'sian cars on thai roads in a row. We had to be really careful so that they do not go missing as this were their first time driving there. When we arrived at the jetty, there were no more ferries across until 4pm as it was full. We would have to wait around 3 hours. Went to bought the ticket and they were offering us earlier time provided we book the hotel with them. Since we din wanna wait so long doing nothing so we took the offer. The ferry is pretty much similiar to the Penang ferry where it carries cars and people. For me, it is the first time experience on such ferry. It took us about an hour and half to reach the destination.

the participating cars, except the red truck.

us and mum

Reached the hotel nearly dinner time as it was located on the other side of the island. After dinner, we spent some time walking around the town. Saw many restaurants especially western and seafood restaurants..They were displaying all those fresh seafood such as baby sharks, lobster, oyster and stuffs outside attracting the customers. They even have roasted pig which is being roasted outside the restarant and its usually expensive in M'sia.yum yum. Then, we took a stroll at the along the beach with the nice smooth sands. I would say we walk nearly 2 km on the beach and it was a good exercise for all of us since we just ate before that. On the way, saw ppl playing those tanglungs where u write ur wishes and lit them up and release it up to the air Walk till the cape and saw a unique place where ppl are enjoying their time and drinking.. Its more like 3 beach chairs laid straight and a small table place on top and cushion at the side..They are more like lying down and drinking and relaxing their mind off. Since we were pretty tired we too had a drink and relax by lookin at the many stars on the sky which is wat we usually dun see back in M'sia.Walked back to the hotel and lights off at 1 am..

The beach is a must to go if we were on the island..its something not to be missed. Thus, the next morning after breakfast we went to play water..wheeeeeee..so fun being push in by the waves. somemore the waves were pretty huge and bros were enjoyin 'flyin' with the waves when it hit them. most of us went in except the mums and sis. Left the island after light lunch and headed back to Hatyai.

whee

spot the rainbow?

All of us were so hungry along the way but there were no restaurants that seem nice ..maybe those small small kopitiam la, but it would not be too good as we dunno clean a not and somemore we had small kids in the group..not nice la later ppl la du zi.hehe. After dinner at Hatyai,we headed off to KISS Chanel, a music lounge/bar with performances to celebrate Christmas eve. Here everyone is allowed in even small kids as its a non smoking place.Bro was so so glad as he anticipates going in.lol. We were there quite some time dancing all the way to the rhythm. i would say all of us enjoyed ourselves there even Natalie, the youngest kid of one of dad's friend was dancing!she is sho cuteeee..Not much pic though cuz no cameras in. got also is curi curi take de not very clear cuz use phone

hot dance

those are guys dressed as girls dancing

performance

more dancing

some performer singin

tipsy edi lu

sexy dancing, they even dance on the bar top

The next day all of us woke up later than usual due to yesterday nite partying. After breakfast, went do some shopping lu at Tesco and shopping complexes. Couldn't do much outside shopping as the weather doesn't look good.Threatening to rain and it spoiled our plan to had dinner at Songkhla which is by the beach .haih so just linger in the hotel lu while bro,sis and mum went cut, wash hair, massage ,manicure and stuffs. i just hang around in the lobby using the free wifi pc and played with the kids..especially Natalie. she is so hyperrrrrr..running here and there. When they were done, dinner was seafood again. We had seafood like almost everyday. The restaurants are really lucky to have us cause we bring biz to them with 4 families eating at the restaurant. Surely make lot of money that time.

the quiet version of Natalie cause she just woke up.hehe

The next day was our last day here. Had roti canai and it taste better than back home. Head on to Central Market where u can buy clothes, shoes and leather stuffs.A good place to put ur bargaining skills on while shoppin here.hehe. Dad and me were busy buyin dried food stuff such as fish maws, peanuts, dried mango and stuff like that lu while they did their shopping. Check out at noon and lunchie at chic rice shop which was once visited by the PM before. Got out from the border around 2 and saw many cars heading in to Thailand.must be due to the long hols that all taking the chance to go hols and set off their mind from work.

We had dinner at Gopeng which is a very old small town. The shop is special as it only opens at 8 pm and not earlier. And the shop would be full of ppl when its nearly 8, usually local la. They're pretty famous for their own made noodle and stuffs such as fishballs, fucuk and stuffs. And its self service de leh.when the food is being brought out, people would start queuing up and picking those food and by 9 pm everything finish already.habis clean clean. The food were delicious and even got ppl tapao de leh. Thanks to Uncle Danny for introducing this place to us..hehe.

Overall, it was a good trip with such a big group..Its more fun..i hope there would be more of this in the future.

how inconsiderate can ppl be la..i just dun understand. is it so difficult to move ur car in front a bit ah..
i went to the bank with my mum earlier the day.parked and then another car came and parked behind me..blocking my way to go out.since i'm not goin out yet so its ok lor..when mum's done, i honk the car lu..mind you the driver is inside the car so he can juz move.he just ignore my honk.i tried to be nice so duwan press the honk so many times lor cuz he inside the car mar .i really dunno either my honk is too friendly as quoted by suiyuan before or either he is deaf lor..then another car next to me also wan to go out..his honk was even louder and that fella also din budge..he got fed up and went up to the car and knock his window and ask him move...he finally move..wat was even more stupid is that he cannot move more in front ah,make me so difficult reverse my car with so little space..really stupid lor...

one funny thing that happen this week was that bro posted a letter to NS to defer and guess wat???it was send back to us...damn swt lor,it was a registered mail and we wrote to and from who..but the postman send it back to us.the NS office add can't be wrong as dad just cut it out from the letter from them..so dad went back ask the post office and they say its internal error wo,means the post office wrong lor.so ask us go SS13 there wo..go there and then the guy in charge say that they dun handle it here...harhh..ask us go here and there and then say go shah alam there pulak..wah not our fault wo.finally he agreed to send it for us after dad 'talked' to them.i guess they were thinking we are easy to be push around so ask us go here and there..

ok la,enough of my rantings...i'm going off for holiday tomoro..whee...
